Riding – Available at 2 locations in St Margarets. Braeside offers tuition, livery and stable facilities in their newly refurbished BHS approved stables for those wishing to take their horse on holiday.

Golf – The nearest course is approximately 15 minutes drive from St Margaret’s in the neighbouring village of Kingsdown. World famous Royal St George’s, Sandwich is just 20 minutes from St Margaret’s Bay.

Walking - St Margaret’s and the surrounding countryside offers coastal, cliff top and woodland walks available from the doorstep. Located in White Cliffs country and surrounded by National Trust land, St Margaret’s is a must for walker and nature lovers alike.

Pines Gardens and MuseumPines Gardens 6 acres of beautiful organically grown gardens with many fine features, including a waterfall, lake and a scented garden designed to be enjoyed by all, but especially the blind or partially sighted. The museum and tea rooms are open during the high season on a part-time basis.

Windsurfing and canoeing – ideal for those with experience, beginners can make use of the watersports schools in Dover.

Eating out – Just 5 minutes on foot, you will find the  Coastguard pub/restaurant which claims to be the closest establishment to France. Here you will find an ever changing, interesting menu, a large selection of  beers and wines and fabulous uninterrupted views from the sun terrace. The Smugglers in St Margaret’s Village offers an excellent diverse menu in their conservatory restaurant with a real traditional pub feel in the bar, a firm favourite for locals and visitors alike.  The White Cliffs Hotel/Restaurant in the village centre is open to non-residents and has a bar with a selection of real ales and a cosy lounge with a wood burning stove.
